Youth Lanka provides a platform dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship among young individuals in Sri Lanka. Our primary objective is to facilitate the promotion and marketing of products and services offered by our registered entrepreneurs through dedicated website development and strategic market expansion.
2. Service Description
Youth Lanka offers the following core services to registered entrepreneurs:
Personalized Website Development: Creation and hosting of a dedicated website for each registered entrepreneur to showcase their brand, products, or services within Sri Lanka.
Local Market Online Promotion: Initial marketing efforts aimed at promoting the entrepreneur’s offerings within the Sri Lankan online market.
Regional & Global Market Development: Strategic guidance and support to expand market reach to Asian and African markets, with a long-term vision for global expansion.
Community & Resources: Access to a network of fellow entrepreneurs, educational resources, and mentorship opportunities.
3. Eligibility
To be eligible for registration with Youth Lanka, you must:
Be a young entrepreneur residing in Sri Lanka.
Meet the age criteria as specified in the application form (e.g., typically between 18-35 years old).
Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Sri Lanka.
4. Fees and Payments
Initial Nominal Fee: A nominal, one-time fee is required upon registration to cover the initial website setup and onboarding process. The exact fee will be communicated during the application process.
Future Service Fees: As your business grows and you opt for expanded services (e.g., advanced marketing, international market entry support), additional fees may apply. Such fees will be clearly outlined and agreed upon before any new services are rendered.
Payment Terms: All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise explicitly stated. Payment methods and schedules will be provided upon acceptance into the program.
5. Entrepreneur’s Responsibilities
As a registered entrepreneur on Youth Lanka, you agree to:
Content Accuracy: Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information regarding your business, products, and services for your website and promotional materials.
Legality and Compliance: Ensure that all products, services, and content you promote comply with all applicable Sri Lankan laws, regulations, and ethical standards. This includes, but is not limited to, consumer protection, intellectual property, and advertising laws.
Intellectual Property: Ensure that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for any content, trademarks, or intellectual property used on your website or promoted through our services.
Timely Communication: Respond promptly to requests for information or feedback from Youth Lanka to facilitate service delivery.
Account Security: Maintain the confidentiality of your account login credentials and notify Youth Lanka immediately of any unauthorized use.
6. Youth Lanka’s Responsibilities
Youth Lanka commits to:
Website Development & Hosting: Develop and host your dedicated website with reasonable care and skill. While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Promotional Efforts: Utilize reasonable efforts to promote your products and services within the agreed-upon markets.
Support: Provide reasonable technical and administrative support related to the services offered.
Confidentiality: Treat your business information with confidentiality, subject to our Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
7. Intellectual Property
Entrepreneur’s Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content, products, services, and intellectual property you provide for your website and promotional activities.
License to Youth Lanka: You grant Youth Lanka a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your provided content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Youth Lanka platform and services.
Youth Lanka’s IP: All intellectual property rights related to the Youth Lanka platform, its design, software, and underlying technology belong to Youth Lanka.
8. Data Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal and business data are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details.
9. Termination
By Entrepreneur: You may terminate your registration and use of our services at any time by providing written notice to Youth Lanka.
By Youth Lanka: We may suspend or terminate your account and access to our services if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activities, or if your conduct is harmful to Youth Lanka or other users.
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your website may be taken offline, and access to services will cease. Any outstanding fees will remain due.
10. Limitation of Liability
Youth Lanka provides its services on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee the success, profitability, or specific outcomes of your entrepreneurial ventures. Youth Lanka shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use our services.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiation.
12. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Youth Lanka reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or through other reasonable means. Your continued use of the services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
